• Moon House Art. Our logo and website illustrations were all drawn by the amazing Katie Flindall, a local painter and illustrator. We love her work!
• Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database. The Environmental Working Group has put together this detailed database that assesses the safety of skin care products for the whole family. A great reference for people who really want to know just what's in the products they buy! Speaking of body care products, our favorites for babies are the Angel Baby line from Earth Mama Angel Baby, which we carry in some of our gift boxes, and California Baby, which has everything from scented bubble baths to sunblock and is often fairly easy to find.
• Cloth Diaper Trial for $10 from Jillian's Drawers. This cloth diaper site has a great trial program for those hesitating about taking the plunge.
• Mothering Magazine. Interested in "natural" parenting? Trying to figure out what "natural" parenting is? Long articles and interesting topics make this a far meatier magazine than most & a staff favorite. Online subscriptions are now available, too.
• Brain, Child: The Magazine for Thinking Mothers. Wonderful essays make this magazine a great treat for mothers in that sleep-deprived haze that makes rereading Ulysses out of the question...
• Breastfeeding Help from La Leche League. Long after your local lactation consultant has gone to bed, you can still find knowledgeable help online! When learning to breastfeed, ask for help early and often. And repeatedly. We speak from collective experience here...
