About
Green Baby Gift Box is a small, mom-owned business dedicated to making eco-conscious gift giving effortless, fashionable and fun! We are based in Burlington, Vermont.
Our baby gift boxes include vibrant, creative, and useful objects that baby can use every day. We look for sustainable and often handmade gifts that show our little ones how much they are cherished.
Our boxes are organized by theme and bring together baby items, toys and clothes made from the highest quality sustainable materials by the best natural and socially responsible companies in the world---the very places we wish we had known about when our first child was born. We try to mix companies you'll be able to find at your local toy store with gorgeous handmade and recycled items, many of them made here in Vermont. Our boxes include baby items made in the USA, Canada, and Europe. Everything is thoroughly researched and tested for safety, beauty, durability, and sustainability. See our links page & read the blog for some of our favorite sources. Learn more about our green philosophy here.
Let's face it---the typical first baby requires a lot of shopping, even if you're the Queen of Hand Me Downs. Researching safety and materials on everything from pajamas to breast milk storage bottles can be exhausting for anyone, much less a new parent. And trying to find a “green” gift for a child or friend when you don't shop that way yourself can be rather intimidating. Enter Green Baby Gift Box, your personal fairy godmother. We want your experience on our site to be magical. If you are interested in a custom order, can't find something, or have a suggestion, just contact us by email or phone. We're ready to help!
Green Baby Gift Box is a socially responsible company. We assess all of our operations on an ongoing basis to ensure that we minimize our environmental impacts. We use 100% post-consumer recycled paper for our custom gift cards & our internal printing. Our gift packaging features recycled boxes & Of the Earth's EcoTwist ribbon. Our offices are lit with natural light and energy-efficient bulbs. We compost! And breastfeeding babies are usually around and about... We think of being "socially responsible" as an ongoing task, a commitment to those who work with us, our community, and our environment to consider the long-term impacts of our decisions beyond just the bottom line. If you have questions about our efforts in this area, please contact us. You may also want to visit our friends at Vermont Businesses for Social Responsiblity; we're a member!
